December 22nd, 2008Almost everything is good in Aptana except annoying “Aptana Messenger” toolbar which unfortunately cannot be disabled. Searching in Google gives us a wonderful post on the forum of Aptana: one good man tells us how to disable tollbar via editing com.aptana.ide.intro plugin. Unfortunatelly, this method doesn’t always work but if you don’t really need functionality of messenger you can just delete this plugin from ~/.eclipse/plugins directory.

Konversation nick notification
November 27th, 2008While using Konversation to read IRC conferences I use “Enable notifications” option quite often. It is a very useful feature because I don’t want to see all the messages from such channels like: #drupal (see IRC #drupal), #ruby, #qt, and so on, but at the same time I’d like to be notified when somebody uses my nick (notifications for own nick).

That proves my theory about #drupal channel - they just talk to much.
